Actor, born on January 13, 1977 in Canterbury, Kent, SE England, UK. Orlando Bloom studied at the British American Drama Academy in London and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and went on to gain small parts on television and an appearance in the 1997 film Wilde. He became well known following his film role as the warrior elf Legolas Greenleaf in The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001–3). Other films include Black Hawk Down (2001), Pirates of the Caribbean (2003, sequel 2006), Troy (2004), and Kingdom of Heaven (2005).
Bloom recently married Victoria Secret supermodel, Miranda Kerr and the couple gave birth to their first child on January 7, 2011.
